Furthermore, W Station operates strictly locally—we do not intercept, read, or transmit your messages to any third-party servers.

Most modern desktop applications (like Slack, Discord, and even the official WhatsApp Desktop app) are built using a framework called Electron, which essentially runs a full, resource-heavy Google Chrome instance in the background for every app. This leads to massive installation sizes, high RAM consumption, and rapid battery drain.

W Station is different. We built it using a high-performance native engine (Tauri & Windows WebView2). Instead of bundling a heavy browser engine, W Station hooks directly into your operating system's native WebView. The result? An incredibly small file size (under 10MB) and highly optimized memory usage. It consumes a fraction of the RAM compared to standard apps, opens instantly, and feels seamlessly native to your operating system.

W Station comes equipped with an In-App Document Previewer. It automatically handles decrypted document attachments (.xlsx, .xls, .csv, .docx, .pptx, .pdf, and plain text) directly inside the application. You can inspect table sheets, read document previews, or open them instantly in Microsoft Office or your system's default software with a single click.

Instead of bombarding your desktop with intrusive pop-ups, W Station displays real-time dynamic Unread Badges directly on your tabs, sidebar, and the Windows Taskbar icon (via native COM ITaskbarList3). You get an immediate, consolidated count of all incoming messages even when the app is minimized to your taskbar.

In standard multi-session setups, background tabs are often frozen by the browser, causing incoming chats to lag or requiring manual page reloads.

W Station features an advanced Background Keep-Alive & Auto-Reconnect Engine. Background Web Workers ensure your inactive WhatsApp sessions stay connected to WhatsApp Web's socket servers. Messages, media, and unread counts continue to sync seamlessly in the background so everything is completely up-to-date the instant you switch tabs.

Many web wrappers leave orphaned renderer and GPU processes running in the background after closing, consuming RAM and locking file caches.

W Station implements low-level Windows Job Object process management. When W Station closes, the Windows kernel automatically guarantees that all child WebView2 processes, GPU helpers, and network threads are terminated immediately and cleanly. Your RAM is instantly released, and your storage folders are never locked.

9. Direct Chat (Message Without Saving Numbers)

W Station includes a built-in Direct Chat tool. Simply enter the target phone number (with the country code) and select which of your active WhatsApp profiles should send the message.
